This year’s second meeting of the Regional Innovation Platform (KIP) for electrical engineering and IT took place on 16 June, at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics of the University of Pardubice.
The host, the Dean of the Faculty, Zdeněk Němec, was also the first speaker. He presented not only the activities of the faculty, but in general the vision for the development of the field of electrical engineering in the whole region. ERA a. S., A well-known Pardubice manufacturer and developer of radar technology, which was presented at KIP by the Director of HR and Marketing Milan Starý, will certainly take part in it. And the mosaic of the main speakers was supplemented by the Deputy Director Zdeněk Cach with an overview of study programs and activities of the Secondary Industrial School of Electrical Engineering and the Higher Vocational School in Pardubice.
All other participants in the meeting also took a very active part in the subsequent discussion. Thanks to this, we managed to create an interesting picture of the state of electrical engineering and IT in the whole region, about its needs in terms of education of potential employees and research and development in the field. Representatives of companies and educational institutions agreed on the need for joint promotion of the field so that it can develop further and at the same time be attractive to children who decide on their future focus. The Smart Accelerator II of the Pardubice Region and the paradnikraj.cz website will be happy to help them with that.
And because the members of the KIP definitely do not want to waste time and they care about moving things together, another meeting will take place immediately after the summer holidays. Most likely, it will be at the headquarters of Mikroelektronika in Vysoké Mýto, which willingly offered its facilities for meetings and inspections of its technical equipment.
